GALLE FULL DAY EXCURSION

After breakfast proceed to Galle. On the way visit Turtle Conservation Center. The Turtle Care Centre at Kosgoda beach is one of the hatcheries along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The centre is located in the South Western coastal village of Kosgoda and was established in 1981. It is also very popular as all five species of turtles that visits Sri Lanka nest in Kosgoda.

Then afterwards proceed to Meetiyagoda Moonstone Mine & the mask museum.

The have the Sri Lankan tradition lunch.

Then proceed to Ginthota to start the river safari at Madu River. This one hour tour takes you on a boat through the primitive depths of the mangrove marshes in Madu River. Traverse the dark and dangerous caverns formed by the thick mangrove forests; interspersed with bright open stretches of water. Learn more about mangroves and their positive effect on ecology. Get a chance to see crocodiles, water snakes, tree snakes and wilf boars in their natural habitat. Watch the cormorants; stroks and many other avian life hunt for their prey in swift flow of Madu River. View the pots for catching prawns and shrimps left in some shallower areas of the river.


In the evening visit the Galle Fort, a well preserved fortified city built by originally by the Dutch. One of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, for its unique exposition of "an urban ensemble" wich illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Then drive back to Colombo.

KANDY FULL DAY EXCURSION

After breakfast the journey takes you first to the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala where abandoned and orphaned Elephants are being looked after.
Then you will be visiting a tea factory on the way to Kandy.
Kandy is the hill capital of Sri Lanka founded in the 14th Century AD and the last kingdom of Sri Lankan kings before it fell to the British in 1815.
Then we visit The Temple of the Tooth Relic which houses the sacred Tooth Relic of “Lord Buddha” is the most significant building in the city, after that explore the Kandy city.
On the way back visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden, which is well known for its large number and variety of plants. Also ornamental and decorative trees, useful for medicine. In total there is more than 4000 species, including indigenous and introduced plants.
After that drive back to hotel.

SIGIRIYA FULL DAY EXCURSION

After breakfast starting to travel sigiriya and climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site built by king Kashapa.
The lion rock is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the surrounding ground level. Which is a complex of building parts of the Royal Palace fortified town and most attractive fresco paintings. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.
After that drive to Dabulla visit Dabulla Golden Rock Temple which dates back to the 1st century, the cave houses over 150 Buddha Statues and three Sri Lankan Kings and two God and Goddesses’. Large sweeping of color paintings adorn the rock ceiling. After that drive back hotel.

COLOMBO FULL DAY EXCURSION.

After breakfast drive to Colombo Ganagramaya Temple by the famous Beira Lake has been in existence for over 120 years .then visit Hindu temple Kathiseran Kovil on Galle Road.
After that National museum situated in Colombo was established in 1877, by the then British Governor of Ceylon Sir William Henry Gregory, historic St Peter's Church in the Colombo Fort, which was used as a governor's residence during the Dutch period and later a Garrison church under the British.
The busy Colombo Fort of today was once the military fort of the Portuguese in 1505 and then the Dutch in 1656. The British in 1796 changed the status of the fort by demolishing the ramparts and constructing houses and civilian structures, some of these colonial buildings still stand alongside its modern counterparts. Many of the buildings are influenced by Dutch, Portuguese and British Architecture dating back as far as the 1700. The Dutch hospital, the Dutch house the Wolvendal church are some of the Dutch architecture to be seen, while the Queens House, The Town Hall, The Old General Post Office, the Old Parliament, The Colombo Museum, the Cargill’s and Millers buildings and The Grand Oriental Hotel are examples of British Architecture.
Colombo is a good place to shop for handicrafts. The longest-established places the government-run Laksala. Here, you'll find two floors showcasing all manner of traditional Sri Lankan crafts, batik and wood carving. The decent prices are clearly marked so there's no need to bargain.
After that drive back to hotel.
